Level 2 SMART Digital Technologies and Diagnostics (BTEC Diploma in Electronic Engineering)

The minimum entry requirement to study for a Level 2 Diploma is 4 GCSEs at grade Ds or above which may include Mathematics and/or English, according to the requirements of the curriculum area, a Foundation Diploma, OR Merit grade and above at Level 1.  Learners with a Pass grade will be considered subject to an additional assessment and/or supportive reference from their Personal Tutor.  In some cases a more appropriate progression route at Level 2 may be available.

This course will suit students who are looking for a career in product design, aerospace, manufacturing, electronics, electrical engineering, or the automotive industry as a project leader or designer.

This course provides the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the design and development of engineering products and  systems.

Learners will complete a range of projects, assignments, presentations and practical activities. 

Learners can progress to Advanced Level qualifications or into employment or onto Apprenticeships.
